| I've probably seen more of Australia than any other country so far, and yet there is still so much I have not seen. It's a huge country, and it's taken months and months to get around. This 2005 trip was the latest of several big treks around the country, spent mostly in the north and west, and it is perhaps the last time here for quite a while - enough for this lifetime?. It's a beautiful country for sure, full of interesting and beautiful animals, plantlife, ocean, and landscapes. It's also one of the best places on earth to get in your vehicle and dissappear from the human race and have a piece of Mother Nature all to yourself. You do, however, have to drive incredibly long distances and remember to bring enough supplies to keep going, and sometimes it's quite hard work. Now I live in Thailand and am focused much more on Southeast Asia, but these pictures of Australia will always bring back great memories. |
