Having criss-crossed the mountains a few times, we only had a week or so left and went to the San Juans and then had a final visit or two with the family. 
Quick trip to the San Juan islands starts here...

I can't imagine a happier face on a dog.
Mom reunited with a Niles family heirloom. I held onto it for several years in Bellingham, Seattle and Bellevue. Then it did a tour of six years in New Zealand, Eight years in Australia, then two years inThailand and finally back home where it belongs.  :-)
