Songkran 2008
The Thai New Year (Songkran) festival usually falls on April 13-15th, but here in Chiang Mai we get started early.  It's the hot season so look out - a bucket of cold water is headed your way...

At the city moat they're already getting crazy
Better to stay home with the kids (2 monsters)
Songkran is a good time to be a kid too!
We have a good crowd staying at our place this year
Well-behaved children (NOT!)
JJ, Vat, Audi - armed and dangerous
It is useless to resist - everyone must have fun!
You guys had to get tired sooner or later
Chow Down!
Enough fun at home - -time to hit the city moat
Extremely tall Kathoey (ladyboy).  Quite spooky!
amazing self-deploying bucket!
Blocks of ice for sale everywhere - resulting ice water makes for a real shock
Southeast corner of the city moat seems the most busy
Traditional parade at the Tha Phe Gate
Final day, at Huay Tung Tao (with 5 thousand people)
Two handsome boys - guess which is the naughty one...
That's enough Songkran until next year!
