| I needed to do a visa run anyway, so it was time for another trip - this time south from Chiang Mai to Bangkok by sleeper train, then daytime Sprinter to Surat Thani. A few bus rides later and we were taking a ferry from Satun in Thailand to the island of Langkawi. Next stop was Penang for the visa, then to Kuala Lumpur and back north to cross the Sadao border to Thailand. We focused on Ko Lanta, Ko Phi Phi, and Railay Beach/Ao Nang in the south before flying back home to Chiang Mai. Easy 1-month trip. |
